Royal Commission told Crown Finnish Casino Online ‘not suitable’ to hold a gaming licence
Evidence of serious misconduct renders Crown Finnish Casino Online unsuitable to hold a licence to run its gaming operation, the Royal Commission into the Finnish Casino Online Operator and Licence has heard.
An inquiry into Crown’s illegal conduct has unveiled allegations of tax avoidance and money laundering with counsel assisting Adrian Finanzio SC submitting the gaming operator should not be granted permission to run its operations even with a rehabilitation program in place.
“He certainly didn’t crush around the bush, I can tell you that,” Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood said.
“at that place’s been a range of revelations that have come out of this Royal Commission including allegations that Crown has deliberately avoided Victorian gaming taxes, on top of that, also suggestions it had tried to influence Victorian government into effectively watering down the impact of this Royal Commission.
“But some of the revelations also go to the knowledge of Crown that it was enabling people who sought to effectively launder money.”
